Today is Oct 20th 2020. I haven't written on this blog for three years. Everything has changed so much in three short years. The most drastic change happened on July 3, 2019. My Honey Bunny of 50 years went on ahead. The clotting disorder got to him. He had a stroke in the earlier part of 2019. He never bounced back. He lived in an assisted living facility for about 6 months. I couldn't take care of him at home any longer. I brought him home in June because we knew the end was coming. I wanted Sara to be able to spend some time with him. I wanted him in his own bed. I wanted family and friends around. I had two very special ladies that came and stayed with him 24-7 and in the end Hospice came in to ease his way into the beyond. It was peaceful. I gave him his shots. I talk to him and played music. He just stopped breathing. I cried for a long time as I held him He was a good man. Fifty years and he was gone in a flash. I will miss him for the rest of my life.
Nov. 2014 This week I got an unexpected health diagnosis. It kind of knocked my socks off. It also took away my ability to make beads anymore. So I am changing my blog. I am sure I will write about beads sometimes. I have a whole studio to part with, but I have health issues that are much more important and I want to share my thoughts and challenges on this blog. I hope you will come along with me and share your words of wisdom or encouragement.

After years of working in construction and smoking cigarettes,I was diagnosed with COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. As my illness progressed, I found myself relying on supplemental oxygen around the clock. Even getting out of bed became a challenge. My doctors and specialists recommended a lung transplant, but after researching the pros and cons of such a drastic procedure, I decided to try something less invasive.
